BG95-M3 in Embedded Linux environment

Hi,

I would like to use the BG95-M3 in an embedded linux project. To test this out I have the Quectel development kit with BG95-M3 (MINIPCIEEVB and BG95M3LA-MINIPCIE), which I would like to test out on my linux ubuntusystem, which should very comparable to the Embedded Linux environment right?

I’m confused on how I should get this running. Should I let NetworkManager and ModemManager do their job (does not work for now).

Should I setup the BG95-M3 in QMI (I read that QMI is not properly implemented), USB-ECM or just use ppp (too slow).
Do I need a specific driver for this?
I read that there also is a Quectel Connection Manager tool, but could not find a reliable source to download from.

Could I also get latest firmware for this module? And will it work worldwide?

Kind regards,

Luc

Hi @Luc

Actually, BG95 series module not support QMI dial but PPP and ECM are support. and whats your current version? then we can provide latest version to you.
