You can use AT + NBAND to put the band supported by the operator in front.
Each time the module is in a new place, it will take a long time to connect to the network for the first time, but not later.

I can’t see the specific reason for what you describe. You can grab the UElog of the module and check the underlying message to confirm the reason.
