AT commands PPP data mode

Hi.

I’d like to know what is the difference between these commands: ATD*99# and AT+CGDATA. I know both allow for making a data connection, but is there any difference in their implementations?

If you use ppp, it not just use the AT*99#, the uart will be in data mode.
But I don’t understand what you mean the AT+CGDATA? Seems that the it is not supported.
