We are using an EG21-G to send/receive SMS. As part of our initialisation code we set “AT+CMGF=1”. We periodically poll via “AT+CMGF?” to confirm the setting (we previously had a problem with wrong PDU mode errors) We are finding that occasionally it is coming back as 0. I was wondering under what circumstances could the message format be changed within the modem?
It seems to happen more frequently at one site - are there network related issues that might cause this to happen? (for example switching between 3G and 4G)
