Accuracy of GPS Data from Quectel RM520N-GL Modem

Hi, I would like to use the Quectel modem RM520N-GL to measure the RSRP signal strength of a field along with its corresponding location. However, I noticed that the location obtained from the modem’s built-in GPS seems inaccurate compared to what I see on Google Maps.

Just want to know how precise the GPS data obtained with the modem is, and whether there is a more precise method to obtain coordinates with the device.

Here is the command:

AT+QGPS=1
AT+QGPSLOC=0

Thank you.

I guess it’s because of the different coordinate systems.

Hi, @Bean.Wang-Q, Thank you. I know some devices cannot get as high-precision coordinates as specific hardware, for example BDS RTK. Maybe this modem is not able to get it as well. I don’t know. Do you know which coordinate system this modem uses? Any references?

The Quectel module should support wgs84.
