I am from Greece and recently I have purchased a few 4G solar cameras. Software they are using is eseecloud. Module is EG800G.
My problem here in Greece is that new SIM cards dont work with the cameras because the new SIM cards are forcing to work with 4G+ or 5G. But old SIM cards (2018) can receive 4G only, and the camera works fine. There aren’t any old SIM cards in the market anymore, so I am trying to program the camera with UART connection to force the new SIM cards to get 4G only. Is this possible?

The EC800G is a 4G module and it won’t search for 5G networks. So I think it has nothing to do with this. I think we can first check if it is necessary to input the correct APN configuration.
@lyman-Q thank you for your reply. The Apn configuration is correct. With same Apn settings an old SIM card (2018) is working fine. A new SIM card (2024) is not working. In fact I was able to find and a second old SIM card (2018) and it also worked fine.
Is there maybe a new firmware of the module?
