Which 5G M.2 modules support voice calls?

I am looking for an an M.2 5G module that works globally with voice call functionality over LTE (preferably UAC?)

I looked through the website and RM520-GL seems to fit my use case and has VoLTE, but I found some forum posts that seem to suggest voice call is not actually supported for this module. Are there any similar M.2 modules with voice support?

Dear @hautonjt
RM520NGL is data only.
Where are you?

Hi @silvia
I am in Canada

Dear @hautonjt
Sorry about this, RM520NEU supports voice, but it can’t work on your region.

Hi @silvia,
What about RM530N-GL? Does that support voice?

Dear @hautonjt
It doesn’t support.

Hi @silvia,

So there are no global 5G modules supporting voice? What about 4G modules?

Dear @hautonjt
For M.2 series, it doesn’t have.

Hi! I’m looking at RM500U PCIe module. Does it support VoNR? I checked the product brief and the product specification, and they both say “optional” for voice.

Dear @cyber
RM500U doesn’t support VoNR.

Thank you @silvia!

  1. May I know why the documentation says “optional”. What does it mean?
  2. Does Quectel offer a 5G module that supports VoNR?
  3. If there isn’t a module, is there a SoC that does?

Dear @cyber
optional means some OC have this or it can be customized.
For more M2 module, it is data-only mode.

I’m very confused now.

  1. So if I buy RM500U, it may happen that voice is not supported, right? Can you please define “some OC”? Is there a SKU that have voice support, or how can customers know what they’re buying? We don’t need customization, we just want to get a ready-made module for evaluation.
  2. I’m sorry I don’t understand “For more M2 module”. Do you mean all M2 modules don’t have voice support?

Dear @cyber
There are so many serial, I don’t know your region.
It doesn’t support VoNR, but it has volte, voice also can work.

Dear @silvia.

The region is Asia (Singapore).
I’m sorry but can you please answer exactly what I was asking about? There were four questions and only one was answered. The answer also took two weeks; it just doesn’t make sense to waste so much time trying to get any sensible answer.
We’re looking for some module that support VoNR out of the box. Without “if” or “some” or “optional”. Can you just tell us the SKU so we can purchase and test it? If there isn’t one ready-made, just say that there isn’t one.
