Unable to make outbound calls with VoLTE using EC25-EUX

Hi, I’m trying to do voice calls with the EC25-EUX module.

When I try to make an outbound call I get this:

ATD+479xxxxxxx;
NO CARRIER
AT+CEER
+CEER: 5,36

(replaced number with x’s)

However, I am able to receive and answer calls. I’ve verified that the incoming calls are happening over VoLTE and I get audio in both directions, e.g.

AT+CLCC
+CLCC: 1,1,0,1,0,"",128
+CLCC: 2,1,0,1,0,"",128
+CLCC: 4,1,0,0,0,"+479xxxxxxx",145
+CLCC: 3,1,0,1,0,"",128

OK
AT+QNWINFO
+QNWINFO: "FDD LTE","24201","LTE BAND 3",1450

AT+QCFG="ims"
+QCFG: "ims",1,1

OK

I have read through the forum posts but I haven’t seen a similar issue to this. Do you have any suggestions to what could be causing NO CARRIER when trying to set up a voice call?

Best regards,
Kristian

Hi @barexx ,

  1. Suggest to use Mobile phone to check whether this SIM card support outgoing call.
  2. Also suggest switch another SIM card to do outgoing call test with EC25-EUX.
Used to exclude the issue of SIM card.
If verify the SIM card can be used to do outgoing call, we need capture module log to do further checking.

Hi, and thanks for your reply. I’ve tried the SIM card in a mobile phone and I can do both outbound and inbound calls there. I’ve also tried another SIM card from another operator with the EC25-EUX modem, and I experience the same issue there, where I can make inbound calls but not outbound.

The first SIM card is Telenor, the other SIM card being Phonero (MVNO using Telia as operator).

If you can provide instructions on how to capture a module log, I will do so and provide it ASAP.

Best regards,
Kristian

Also, to ask, is it possible to get the latest firmware to verify that is not causing the issue?
My firmware is:

AT+QGMR
EC25EUXGAR08A13M1G_20.200.20.200
