UICC open (AT+CCHO="...") returns ERROR, what does it mean. Is there a reset/init command?

Hi Quectel!

On an EG25-G modem, doing this command AT+CCHO="A0000005591010FFFFFFFF8900000100" returns ERROR.

As you know, the hex string is the Applet ID for the “ISD-R Application”, defined in SGP.22 v2.3 (2.4.3). It’s the first step for e-sim profile management, and it should return OK.

The EG25-G has an EUICC in the SIM slot. I have not double-checked the EUICC on any other modem, but it should really work.

What does the ERROR typically indicate?

Do you have another AT command to force reset or initialization of an UICC/EUICC?

Thanks. Ref https://m2msupport.net/m2msupport/atccho-open-logical-channel/

I realized the cause of the problem: The SIM card was put in the wrong orientation in the SIM card slot. This problem was not at all obvious.

As soon as this was solved, the AT+CCHO=… command responds with success, in the form of +CCHO: 1<newline><newline>OK<newline>.

Solved, thanks.

you are great,great!
