RM551N-GL Windows drivers

I tried to use RM551N-GL on windows ,but no connection.
All devices are detected , drivers installed for them , i can see signal bar , but it can’t connect.
I tried to use “usbmode” 0, then 2 , also 1 ,but not works. I used also several drivers with (Q) letter , ECM, NDIS,RNDIS… nothing helped.
Only using “usbmode”,3 works ( new network card apear , and receive an adress from 192.168.225.x , and works).
RM551n-GL have connection with internet it self , on linux and OpenWRT in thee modes there is a connection ( with PID modification to 0x0801 , since orginal 0x0122 is not recognized) also when switched to ethernet via AT+QMAPWAC=1 , also gives connection.
, At the same time i used RM520N-GL without problems on all types of connection.

Are there any special drivers for windows with rm551n-gl ?

I mean “usbnet” function in +QCFG=“usbnet” command…

Please set the usbnet to 0 and try the Quectel_Windows_USB_Driver(Q)_NDIS_V2.7_EN | Quectel.

I done it before , and i repeated this once more…
usbnet set to 0 , and i reinstalled NDIS_V2.7 drivers ( made repair during installation) . \Still at beggining is connecting , and after sometime disconected . Made it on three different laptops.
But on the next computer with ubuntu modem is connecting without any issues ( on this settings).

NDIS and RNDIS it not compatible and they can not exsit at the same time.

That is clear , before i changed usbnet i also uninstall current driver and install proper one ( no parallel drivers installed at the same time).
Now i have usbnet 0 , and installed only NDIS_v2.7 drivers…
I also check via AT+CGDCONT? if there is proper APN , and AT+CGCONTRDP to see if it is connected

It is another problem.
You can use the AT command to check the status.

AT+CGACT?
AT+CGDCONT?
AT+CFUN?

As I guess it is not registerred.

I belive it is registered and connected.:

AT+CGACT?
+CGACT: 1,1

OK
AT+CFUN?
+CFUN: 1

OK
AT+CGDCONT?
+CGDCONT: 1,"IP","internet","0.0.0.0",0,0,0,0,,,,,,,,,,"",,,,0

OK
AT+CGCONTRDP
+CGCONTRDP: 1,5,"internet","10.6.10.190",,"213.158.199.1","213.158.199.5"

+CGCONTRDP shows ,that it is connected and APN is ok…
but Windows says disconnected…
When i manually trying to connect it says "connecting " for a while , and after that an error occur , that it is not possible to connect with network , try again later…

Maybe you can try the MBIM driver.
You just need set the modem to MBIM mode.
Make sure the WIFI and Ethernet has been disabled.

So i uninstalled NDIS_v2.7 drivers, set usbnet to 2 , reboot windows , installed Quectel_Windows_USB_DriverQ_MBIM_V1.3_EN drivers…

Difference is ,that cellular icon not apearing , and after a while device RM551E-GL in network cards become an arror 43 , and thereis a “!” icon on it…

Above AT commands give same results.

I have had this same issue with the RM550v I purchased from Quectel last December.

I have duplicated your results as well. We need a new Windows USB Driver for these latest modules from Quectel. I have 10 modules that are collecting dust.

The RM551N and RM550V should be ES product.
For individual customer, please purchase the CS product and then it is better to get help in the forums.

Maybe you can show some pictures.

And just to mention , on ubuntu also there is no problem to work with above settings ( usbnet 2 ) .
Ubuntu discovers it as mbim without problem and gives internet.

THe MBIM driver is provided by the Microsoft. Quectel just provide the USB serial driver.
So the usbnet adapter should be working on Windows except that some module do not support MBIM at all.

So from your words i understand ,that even without drivers modem should work in MBIM mode ( usbnet 2) ? ( since drivers are only for serial).

@Bean.Wang-Q ,you asked for pictures, So here is device list after some time ( an error finally occur ):

At beginning of detection ( within 1 min ) this device is recognized ok , after some time this error occur.
And yes , on other Windows ( without any instalation before any Quectel drivers ) apear device RM551E-GL in network cards ( and after a while also such error apear) , other devices are not recognized … So teoretically could work without any Quectel drivers…
But the case is with RM551E-GL it self, somhow is not passing something to Windows…
