The baseline of your current firmware version is R01. It is not recommended to cross-baseline upgrade to R03, as this carries significant risks.Thank you for your understanding.

I own a Quectel RM500U-CN modem and I am trying to get it working as a network adapter on Windows 10. My issues so far:
AT+QCFG=“usbnet” returns 1 → modem is in MBIM mode
Windows Device Manager shows “CDC ECM” with an error (Code 28: driver not installed) under the network device section
I have tried using available drivers, but none seem compatible or available without logging in
Can someone please share:

The latest Windows 10 USB driver package for RM500U-CN, supporting MBIM mode

Any flashing utility or firmware that ensures full support for MBIM on RM500U-CN

Instructions for installation if special steps are needed

For RM500U, it didn’t support MBIM mode, only ECM and RNDIS.
@silvia I need the latest drivers for windows for RM500U-CNV. I also need to know if Qflash 7.7 can update it or if there’s any other different tool to do it. Thank you

Host: Photonicat / OpenWrt / ARM64 Linux

Problem:
After moving between cells or temporarily losing signal, the module may register to 5G again, but data connectivity can remain unavailable for an abnormally long time.
Please provide:
- The latest stable firmware for the R01 baseline, preferably RM500UCNAAR01A19M2G or a newer R01 build.
- Written confirmation that the package supports upgrading from RM500UCNAAR01A18M2G_01.001.01.001.
- Changelog, especially fixes related to cell handover, network registration, PDP/PDU sessions, or data stalls.
- Linux ARM64 flashing tool and instructions.
- SHA-256 hashes for all supplied files.
- The current A18 rollback firmware.
- Recovery instructions if the upgrade fails or the module remains in download mode.
Please do not provide R02, R03, RM500U-CNV, or another RM500U hardware variant.
