The baseline of your current firmware version is R01. It is not recommended to cross-baseline upgrade to R03, as this carries significant risks.Thank you for your understanding.

Request: Windows 10 USB Driver for RM500U-CN (MBIM Mode)
Hello Quectel support

I own a Quectel RM500U-CN modem and I am trying to get it working as a network adapter on Windows 10. My issues so far:

AT+QCFG=“usbnet” returns 1 → modem is in MBIM mode

Windows Device Manager shows “CDC ECM” with an error (Code 28: driver not installed) under the network device section

I have tried using available drivers, but none seem compatible or available without logging in

Can someone please share:

  1. The latest Windows 10 USB driver package for RM500U-CN, supporting MBIM mode

  2. Any flashing utility or firmware that ensures full support for MBIM on RM500U-CN

  3. Instructions for installation if special steps are needed

For RM500U, it didn’t support MBIM mode, only ECM and RNDIS.

I am using RM500U-EA with firmware RM500UEAAAR03A13M2G. The module connects to NR5G-SA (Jio India) but does not obtain an IP address.
Kindly share the latest firmware and QFlash tool for this module.
