RM500Q-GL: Need voice/USB audio firmware (current firmware shows no voice support)

Hello Quectel Forum,

I’m working on a project using the RM500Q-GL module under Windows 11, aiming to enable voice over USB / VoLTE so my PC can act as a phone.

Here are my details:

  • Module: RM500Q-GL
  • Firmware version: RM500QGLABR11A01M4G (from AT+QGMR / ATI)
  • USB enumeration:
    • COM ports: AT, DM, NMEA etc.
    • Data link working: AT+QCFG="usbnet" returns 2
  • Current behavior:
    AT+QCFG="voice"ERROR
    AT+QCFG="audio"ERROR

I saw one thread where a Quectel engineer commented:

“The feature Voice over USB is valid on RM500QGLABR11A04. Please contact … the local FAE for the latest firmware.” :contentReference[oaicite:6]{index=6}

Also, in the RM500Q-GL AB Release Notes, the version 11A05 includes fixes related to voice/URC behavior. :contentReference[oaicite:7]{index=7}

Could someone help me by:

  1. Sharing a firmware package (e.g. RM500QGLABR11A04 / 11A05) that includes voice/USB audio support
  2. Confirming which firmware variant supports that feature
  3. Explaining any special AT commands needed to enable USB audio once firmware is flashed

Thank you in advance for your help!

We can’t get such a version because the M.2 module is designed in this way and does not support voice calls. You can try this command

AT+QCALLCFG="voice_disable",2
