RG502Q-AE disconnects

My Zyxel NR7101 with OpenWrt 24.10.2 disconnects 0 - 4 times in 24 hours, and the interface has to be restarted to reestablish connection.
There is free sight to the antenna tower about 200 m away.

I would be happy to get som advice to get this more stable.

After upgrade, if still have issue, it is better to check with Zyxel.

But now it seems that qfirehose is no longer in the OpenWrt resporitories. So I have to get the sources, and learn how to cross compiled for NR7101.

Besides, the content in the received firmware is from 2022, so it is still quite old. Any reason for this?

Your firmware is too old, it can’t upgrade to other firmware.
I will sent Qfirehose to you via Message, please check.

The solution for me was to reinstall the Zyxel firmware, then follow their upgrade path for the modem until 13A04. Then reinstalled OpenWrt.
Has run for 10 day now, only one single disconnect. A great enhancement :slightly_smiling_face:
