RG500L-EU question about VoLTE

Hi,

i would like to ask you for little help. I own a 5G Fiberhome router LG6121F which is based on the RG500L-EU module.

I have an issue that VoLTE doesn’t work on specific provider even though it works on smartphone.

I have SIM cards from 2 different providers. VoLTE is activated by ISP on both. Current situation is:

Operator 1 - VoLTE works in smartphone and in the router
Operator 2 - VoLTE works in smartphone but not in the router

So conclusion is that router supports VoLTE and works with 1 operator but not the other. I suspect its some type of configuration issue but don’t have the knowledge to solve. Router has an access for AT commands.

AT+QCFG=“ims” returns 0,0

Managed to make it work with the following commands

AT+CGDCONT=1,“IPV4V6”,“ims”,“”,0,0,0,2,1,1,0,1,0

AT+COPS=0

But it doesn’t save after reboot of router. Tried AT+QPRTPARA=1 but still doesn’t save.

Do you configure the correct APN for operator2?

Yes, ofcourse. My problem is that Volte is not working unless configured manually by setting the “ims” apn as stated above.

But that does not stay after a reboot.

Actually, volte is based on IMS.
If IMS was rejected, it doesn’t working.
So you need to configure correct APN.
