Hi Team,
I am currently using the Waveshare USB TO M.2 B KEY module with the Quectel RM530N-GL 5G module embedded. Below are the details of my setup:
- Device: Waveshare USB TO M.2 B KEY Adapter
- Module: Quectel RM530N-GL
- Current Firmware Version: RM530NGLAAR03A02M4G
- Host OS: Windows 11 (running QCOM_V1.6 tool for AT commands)
- SIM Provider: Airtel India (Postpaid, 5G-enabled SIM)
- Use case: I am trying to configure the module to connect reliably to 5G Dual-Mode (NSA + SA) networks to fully utilize unlimited 5G data plans offered by Airtel, and minimize fallback to 4G which has limited data allowance.
Issues Faced:
- The module only connects to 4G LTE despite using a 5G SIM and being in an area with 5G coverage.
- Several key AT commands for 5G and network control are unsupported or return errors, including:
AT+QCFG="5G/SA",1AT+QNWPREFCFG=0,7AT+QCFG="nwscanmode",3AT+QCFG="band",0,0,0,0,0AT+CSYSEL
- Attempts to download the official QFlash_V7.5_EN firmware upgrade tool from your website results in a “403 Forbidden” error:
Quectel QFlash v7.5 download
Request:
Could the support team please provide me with the latest firmware version compatible with the RM530N-GL module and the QFlash tool installation ZIP for Windows 11 as email attachments?
This will allow me to update my module firmware and address connectivity and command support issues.
Thank you for your assistance.
