Request for Latest LC29HBA CSA4 Firmware

Thank you for sending the LC29HBA CSA4 firmware. We have received the files successfully and appreciate your support. We will proceed with the update and testing on our golf cart and contact you if any questions arise.

Best regards

Hello Quectel Support,

I use an LC29H(BA) module (5G Hub “GNSS USB” board, connected by USB).
I plan to use it in a car with RTK and Dead Reckoning.

Current firmware: LC29HBANR11A01S_CSA4, 2023/01/16,18:20:07*07

My requests:

  1. Please send me the latest firmware, four-wheel version (CSA4)
  2. Please send the latest GNSS Protocol Specification and DR&RTK Application Note for this firmware.
  3. Please explain the safe update procedure with QGNSS. I read that RTK/DR needs an activation code in flash. How can I keep the activation code during the update? If it is lost, how can I restore it?
  4. Is there a Linux tool or example code for firmware update?

Thank you.

Hello Quectel Support,

We would like to request the CSA4 (four-wheel) firmware for our LC29H(BA) modules.

Current firmware: LC29HBANR11A07S_CSA2

(previously LC29HBANR11A02S_CSA2, upgraded via support ticket #240210)

Application: RTK + Dead Reckoning positioning on industrial four-wheel vehicles

(forklifts), with RTCM corrections from our own LC29H(BS) base station.

Could you please send us:

1. LC29HBANR11A07S_CSA4 (latest)

2. LC29HBANR11A06S_CSA4 (as a fallback version for comparison)

3. The CSA4 Firmware Release Notes and the upgrade guide

4. The latest DR&RTK Application Note for these versions, if updated

We also have two questions before upgrading:

- Does the upgrade from CSA2 to CSA4 preserve any RTK/DR activation data stored

in flash, or does it need to be restored afterwards?

- Should the upgrade be done at 115200 bps? (other users reported failures at 921600 bps)

This request is also open as e-service ticket #241213.

Thank you very much for your support.

Best regards,

Nei Tosatti
