Measuring antenna matching / VSWR on a RM520N

Hi,

I’ve got several RM520N modules. They work, but I would like to verify that my antenna configuration and cabling is done right.

I can get values for RSRP, RSRQ, SINR no problem. But they all relate to the signal quality of the network. So they depend on how good the network coverage at my current location is. But I would like to check only the antenna on my side, independly of the network.

Does the module offer some AT commands or another way to measure VSWR or return loss on each band?

Any modern baseband chipset should automatically measure VSWR in the background when transmitting. But this information is not always directly available to the user. Sometimes you need to enable a debug mode or run a special program to get this information.

I’m using linux to communicate with the modules.

Is there maybe a debug mode or extended logging mode you can enable where VSWR or return loss are shown, maybe in a special logging program?
