How to receive SMS after ATH?

While online (ATD99**1#) my BG95 seems to receive SMS ok, and after +++ and ATH aI can then read using AT+CGMR

After +++ and ATH however I can no longer receive new SMS. Must I remain online (skip ATH) in order to keep the CS connection alive to receive SMS?

I want to leave the BG95 in a very-low power mode but still receive SMS.

+++ seems to disconnect, not just drop back to command mode?

Before ATD:

After ATD and then +++ to return to command mode:

How can I make +++ drop back to command mode only, and actually remain online?

Update: this does work, but after +++ I was also enabling GNSS, and the BG95 doesn’t support simultaneous GNSS and WWAN so the data side was disconnecting.

Which can be switched to the WWAN priority mode with AT+QGPSCFG=“priority”. The command takes effect immediately.
