I have a few questions regarding the serial number assignment for Quectel modules, specifically the EC200U.
How does Quectel assign serial numbers to the modules?
Is it possible to change the serial number (SN) for the EC200U module?
For instance, my device has a serial number in the format “MPY23IRxxxxxxxxxP.” Could you please explain how these numbers and characters are coded? What does each part of the serial number represent?
Hi @Ahmet_Safi ,
The first two characters represent the project phase:E*,D*,P*,M
The third character represents the factory code, 1~9,A~Z
The fourth and fifth characters represent the production year, 00~99
The sixth character represents the month,A~L
The seventh character represents the day, A-V
And the following characters represent the work order sequence number and product sequence number. 00-22,000001~999999
At present, it is only for querying and cannot be modified.
