Enable STK commands on my module

Dear Quectel Support Team,

I am currently using the Quectel EC200U-CN module with the following firmware:

Current Firmware: EC200UCNAAR02A01M08

As part of our development, we require full STK (SIM Toolkit) support to interface with our custom SIM applet. However, in the current firmware, the AT+QSTK and related commands do not function as expected.

I would like to request:

  • The latest firmware version for EC200U-CN with STK support enabled
  • Any associated tools (e.g., QFlash) and upgrade instructions
  • Confirmation of STK feature support in the provided firmware (especially AT+QSTK command compatibility)

This firmware is crucial for our STK testing and integration in our production environment.

Please share the firmware and related files via direct message or to my registered email address.

Thank you in advance for your support.

Dear Customer,

The latest firmware does support STK functionality. However, the firmware version currently running on your module is quite old. There are approximately 20 intermediate firmware releases between your current version and the latest one.

To minimize risk and ensure upgrade stability, we strongly recommend performing the firmware upgrade incrementally, following the official upgrade path, rather than jumping directly to the latest version. This step‑by‑step approach significantly reduces the likelihood of compatibility issues or module corruption.

While it may be technically possible to upgrade directly to the latest firmware, doing so from such an old version carries a higher risk and may result in firmware corruption or an unrecoverable module. For this reason, we cannot recommend a direct upgrade in this case.

Once the module has been successfully upgraded to the latest firmware using the safe upgrade path, STK applications should function as expected.
