Hello,
I am struggling to get Quectel EM05-CN working.
I cant load eSIM to it. Maybe I am using wrong tools. So please any useful suggestion will be appreciated.
How I can validate this modem support eSIM ?
Do I need to update firmware version on modem ?
Hardware - Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Nano Gen 3
OS - Ubuntu 24.04
Ubuntu is able to recognized modem and I can see network interface.
Hi @bogdanov
There has some points to know:
Hi @lyman-Q
Could you elaborate I can see on the sheet you are refering to uSIM (micro SIM)?
I dont have SIM card slot. Laptop is designed without SIM card slot, respectfully it should use eSIM (non physical SIM card ).
I have no control over hardware design since this is I purchase module from official representative of Lenovo.
If you need details for the module please let me know how to extract serial number from it, or something you need
I need a way to make it work unter Ubuntu 24 or newer LTS, if you have some suggestion would be amazing.
I used many LTE modules in the past with my Thinkpads and Ubuntu LTS so It should be possible
Thanks !
