Dear Quectel Support Team,
We are developing a wearable PERS (Personal Emergency Response System) device based on the Quectel EG915N module and would like to request the QuecPython (OCPU) firmware package for our specific variant.
- MODULE INFORMATION
Module marking : EG915NEAAG-N05-SGNSA
Order code / variant : EG915N-EA (AG)
Quantity in hand : [e.g. 5 pcs, engineering samples]
Purchased through : [distributor name / Quecmall order no.]
Current firmware (as read from the module):
ATI : [paste output]
AT+CGMR : [paste output]
AT+QGMR : [paste output]
IMEI : [paste, or last 6 digits masked]
- PROJECT BACKGROUND
The device is a wearable emergency-response unit with an SOS button, fall detection, LTE voice calling and SMS. In the current hardware revision there is no host MCU: the EG915N is the only processor, and the entire application runs in Python on QuecPython (OCPU). We are currently using QPYcom V4.2.0 on Windows.
- WHAT WE ARE REQUESTING
(1) The QuecPython OCPU firmware package (QPY_OCPU_…_FW, .pac or .bin) that matches the EG915N-EAAG variant above, together with its release notes.
(2) The matching factory AT-command firmware image for this variant, so that we can restore the module to its original state if required. We would prefer not to flash QuecPython firmware without a verified rollback path.
(3) Confirmation that the hardware SKU we hold (EG915NEAAG-N05-SGNSA) supports QuecPython in terms of flash and RAM tier. If QuecPython requires a different order code, please tell us which part number we should quote to our distributor for mass production.
- TECHNICAL QUESTIONS
The following two points determine whether our current architecture is viable, so we would appreciate a clear answer before we commit.
(a) VOICE CALLS UNDER QUECPYTHON
Our product must place and receive LTE voice calls, with audio handled entirely by the module. Does the QuecPython firmware for EG915N-EA expose voice call control and audio path configuration through the Python API? If any voice function is available only in AT firmware or QuecOpen, please say so explicitly.
(b) DUAL SIM
Our board has an eSIM (ST4SIM-300M) on USIM1 and a nano-SIM socket on USIM2. Does the QuecPython firmware support USIM2 and runtime switching between the two SIM interfaces?
- ADDITIONAL ITEMS (IF AVAILABLE)
- The QPYcom version recommended for this firmware (we are on V4.2.0)
- Hardware design guide and reference schematic for EG915N-EA
- Any NDA paperwork required before the above can be released
Please let us know if you need any further information, or if it would be better to raise this through our distributor. We are happy to follow whichever route is fastest.
Thank you for your support.
Best regards,
Lin Wu
