Hello,
I am designing the my circuit for the EG912U module using the quectels EG912U Series QuecOpen Reference Design.
I the guide i found that its is recomended to use the 3.8V 3Amp LDO to power the module
We are using the TI’s BQ24075 charging IC which has output of 5.5V 3A
Our application has some space limitation, so its very deficut to fit the bulky LDO in our circuit
I want to confirm few things
1. Can I power the EG912U directly from the 5.5V 3Amp source?
2. Insted of using the LDO can i use the DC-DC High Efficiency Synchronous Buck Converter ? (3.3V 3Amp)
as it is having following advantages
- more efficient than the LDD
- Small in size & cost effective also.
