I’m working with a Quectel EG21-GL_D module. The modem initializes correctly and responds to most AT commands, but when I try to read the IMEI using AT+CGSN , it returns +CME ERROR: 23 (Memory failure) and no IMEI is displayed.
All other functions appear normal — the SIM is detected and responds to configuration commands — except that the IMEI remains blank.
Could you please advise how to restore or recover the IMEI information on this module?
Is there any official factory firmware or restore procedure available for the EG21-GL_D that might resolve this issue?
