I have heard that Quectel EC25 exposes a virtual PCSC device (card-reader) interface once connected to an USB host (e.g. PC). How true is that? Also, does quecopen SDK allow access to the card-reader?
The goal is to work with the SIM card using PCSC libraries to exchange APDU commands, rather than using AT+CSIM or logical channel family AT commands; Is that possible and, if so, is there any guide or example?
I am yet to buy the module and want to know about this prematurely since the mentioned functionality is critical for my use case. If EC25 does not provide it but some other Quectel module does, please kindly advice which one to consider. Thanks.
Seems that you want to read the SIM card directly with PCSC interface rather than the 3GPP AT command .
it is not supported on the Quectel module.
