Hi Jonathan.
It only part of my yearly check about hardware updates. My current version works way better than the previous ones e.g. EC25EUGAR06A03M4G, EC25EUGAR06A05M4G, EC25EUGAR06A06M4G, EC25EUGAR06A07M4G, EC25EUGAR06A08M4G that are stocked shipped with the modems.

I’ve got like a thousand of Quectel modems currently running, so just trying to keep them up to date.

Subject: Request for newer EC25-EUX firmware supporting VoLTE and UAC audio

Dear Quectel Support Team,

I am using the Quectel EC25-EUX module as an LTE voice/VoLTE gateway in an embedded Linux environment (OpenWrt / FreePBX + Asterisk). The module is controlled via AT commands from a custom Asterisk channel driver and relies on VoLTE/IMS and USB audio (UAC) functionality.

Previously I tested an EC25-EUX module with the following firmware:

EC25EUXGAR08A19M1G_A0.302.A0.302

With this version, the module behaved correctly for my use case: it supported the required AT command set (including AT+QPCMV for enabling UAC / PCM audio) and allowed stable LTE voice / VoLTE operation.

The new EC25-EUX modules I received are running this firmware:

EC25EUXGAR08A13M1G_20.200.20.200

On this firmware, some AT commands from the Q-extended set (e.g. certain QCFG/Q… commands) return ERROR or behave differently, which makes it difficult to configure VoLTE and USB audio reliably from my application. I would like to keep using EC25-EUX as a VoLTE gateway, but I need a firmware version that fully supports VoLTE/IMS and the UAC audio path via AT+QPCMV.

Could you please:

Provide a newer or recommended firmware version for EC25-EUX that:
- is at least functionally equivalent to EC25EUXGAR08A19M1G_A0.302.A0.302 for VoLTE and UAC usage,
- fully supports VoLTE/IMS and AT+QPCMV-based UAC audio for EC25-EUX in LTE networks in my region?
Share the release notes or a brief summary of differences between:
- EC25EUXGAR08A19M1G_A0.302.A0.302
- EC25EUXGAR08A13M1G_20.200.20.200
  and the recommended newer version, especially regarding:
- VoLTE/IMS support,
- UAC / USB audio behavior,
- changes in AT command support (QCFG/QPCMV/QMBNCFG, etc.).
Confirm which firmware version you recommend for using EC25-EUX as a VoLTE voice gateway (Asterisk-based PBX, Linux) in the [your country / operator(s)] network(s).

If needed, I can provide full AT command logs and additional details about the current behavior.

Dear Customer,

I have the latest firmware of EC25-EUX which is EC25EUXGAR08A19M1G_A0.304.A0.304 . For the firmware EC25EUXGAR08A13M1G_20.200.20.200, it is pretty old and outdated firmware. The concept of the later firmware, it will fix the bug of the previous firmware and add latest feature to the latest firmware. Inside the firmware folder, there is a release note that explains the difference features of each version, you may check there. I will send you the latest firmware through email, please check there.
