EC25-E stops working (USB)

I had successfully installed and tested the SIXfab LTE module with the EC25-E, and I can get an IP address and I’m able to ping any internet IP.

However, after a few minutes, the wwan0 interface loses the IP address and disconnects, and by checking the status of the interface with ifconfig, it shows me this

wwan0: flags=4305<UP,POINTOPOINT,RUNNING,NOARP,MULTICAST> mtu 1500
unspec 00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00 txqueuelen 1000 (UNSPEC)

The only way to re-start the service is via a reboot, but I need to use this or a LoRa gateway, that will be installed on campus.

Kernel version is

uame -r
4.19.58-v7+, I’m using a Raspberry Pi 3B and I’m not able to upgrade the Os, as the driver will not work on newer kernels.

BTW, I’m using this in combination with a LoRA Hat

lsusb -t

Any recommendations to fix this issue?

Thanks

Dear Harryman01,
Thanks for your inquiry in Quectel forum.
For your issue, it is better to check the module status when wwan0 lose IP address. You can check whether the module still register on network. Ans you also can try to send AT+CFUN=0, then AT+CFUN=1 to check whether it can restore. Thanks!

Hi,

Thanks, most of the times the modem serial disconnets and I can’t use the minicom to use any command
