EC25-E modem (connection hangsup)

Hello, I’ve use several router with OpenWRT system and modem EC25-E inside.
I have three different sim cards with different mobile operators. Two of them works fine without any problem. When I change sim to third mobile operator, link gets up connection established. But if I stop using internet (no any data transfer) for more then half minute external network (internet) stops responding. But link is not getting down, there is no any error in logread. If I send ping request (ping 8.8.8.8) after about 20 seconds, communication will resume without reconnecting link or modem. I’ve tries to use usb connection to modem and qmi but the result is the same.
Could you help me to resolve this problem?

Dear Anubis Sk,
Thanks for your inquiry in Quectel forum.
Just as you have said that, two of three operators can work fine, only one just have such issue, so it is may the network issue, it is better to check with the operator whether they have any limit to access the network. For module, you can send data to network timely to keep alive the connection. Thanks!

Hello, I’ve tried to use simcom modem with this mobile operator (and others) and connection doesn’t hangup.
May be ec25-e entering any sleep mode with this operator?
I’ve made a scripts with keapalives, but money is charged for this traffic, so I’ve removed it.

Yes, but from such phenomenon we cannot believe it is not the issue of network. And about such issue, we need to catch the module debug log to double check it. So it is better to contact our local FAE to support you how to catch debug log and analyze it. You can send email to support@quectel.com. Thanks!

Could I receive latest firmware version to try it?
Me version :

Hello, I’ve updated firmware:

But there is no any changes. Link hangsup (operator’s gateway is unreachable) if there is no any data transfer.

Dear Anubis Sk,
If you still meet such issue after upgrade the firmware, please send email to support@quectel.com, we will arrange our local FAE to support you, they will help to guide you how to catch the debug log and analyze the root reason. Thanks!

Well pointed: “for more than half minute internet stops responding”

For example YateBTS eNodeB detects a UE which does not have any traffic to send and receive during a defined period of time, usually referred to an inactivity timer.
This defaults to 30 seconds.

Maybe your “third mobile operator” is strict about LTE standards and his eNodeB is standard-like configured.

Don’t bother, usually operator network (eNodeB) should wake up UE (modem, your case) when needs to 'talk with him

The Sane is the issue with me also I’m pasring the Logs of my Device,

Please Let me Know what is the root cause of the problem? and what are the avaialble Solutions for the same?

Thanks,
Shiva.

Dear Shiva,
For your issue, it is better to check whether the driver have installed successful. And please help to check the linux kernel version that you used now. Please share more debug log information, because it is hard to confirm the reason just from the log you provided.
You also can change another SIM card or use the PPP script that Quectel provided to have a try. Thanks!
