EC200A-EU: need QuecPython firmware with IMS/VoLTE support

On our current build AT+CIREG?, AT+QCFG=“ims” and AT+QMBNCFG=“list” are all rejected.

Please send firmware with support for VoLTE / IMS

Thanks Felix. voiceCall is not the issue - calls work. They work over CSFB: the module drops out of LTE to 2G to place them. My question is IMS registration, which is what makes a call VoLTE instead of CSFB.

I checked what this build (EC200AEUHAR01A09M16_OCPU_QPY) actually offers:

  • No name in dir(dataCall), dir(net) or dir(voiceCall) contains “ims” or “volte”.
  • getInfo() accepts profile IDs 1..8. Only cid 1 is active (our APN); 2..8 are empty. Your Application Guide says VoLTE occupies one NIC outside the three user NICs - there is no such NIC here.
  • AT+CGDCONT? lists exactly one context, ours. AT+CIREG? → +CME ERROR: 4, AT+QCFG=“ims” → ERROR, AT+QMBNCFG=“list” → ERROR.

So there is no IMS in this build at all, and nothing in the API to switch it on. Please answer two questions directly:

  1. Does any OCPU_QPY firmware for EC200A-EU support IMS/VoLTE? A09 is the only QuecPython build I can find, while the AT line is at A22/A26. If the answer is no, please say so plainly - and give me a planned release date for a suitable build if possible.
  2. If yes: which version, how do we get it, and is an MBN profile package needed as well?

I confirmed with the internal team about the volte function and the EC200AEU does not support Volte at present.

We plan to switch to EG915U-EU (EG915UEU_AB). Can you confirm that this is IMS/VoLTE-capable?
