EC20 - Modem Manager disconnection issues in our MNVR ( Not establishing the network connection between cloud server and the MNVR )

We are using Quectel EC20 module in one our MNVR ( Mobile Network Video Recorder ) . Please find the attached sys log for one of our MNVR which is causing Network disconnection issues and thereby the kit went offline.

Actually this specific Kit ( CDJ1113 ) worked fine for 21 days and after 12th. Sep 2023.end of the day and 13 th Sep 2023 .early morning ( after 2:00 AM ) this MNVR kit is not connected to the cloud and it is not reconnecting again automatically. Only after restarting this kit manually on 15th Sep.@10:00PM , then this kits starts working fine until 19.09.2023. Could you please organize to review the attached sys logs and advise us to resolve the problem contributed in this MNVR device from the time period after 12th. Sep.end of the day and 13 th Sep.early morning ( after 2:00 AM ). this would be really help full for us to fix the problem.

      Best Regards, Ramesh

Hi @NPD
Did you automatically reconnect after being disconnected this time, or did you reconnect after restarting? The specific cause cannot be seen from the log provided, and it is suspected to be a network failure of the operator.

Hi lyman -Q,
Thanks for your feedback,
Once this problem occurred in the MNVR, after that the system got hang up and there is any option for auto restart , we have to restart by manual mode by unplug the Power cable and re-plugged then this MNVR will starts working for few days . But after sometime the same error is occurring again repeatedly.

  • Apart from this we thought of upgrade with latest EC20 module Firmware to check either this type of error have been debugged with new features or improved features, but we have no any solid conclusion on this, I have attached the release note of latest Firmware EC20CEFRGR06A04M4G.
Do you have any solution, please advise , because we are facing this type of issues in 1200 Nos of MNVR.
