BG96 +QPING missing response text

I am sure this is something trivial and simple to fix and that I am missing some small detail but any help with the following would be appreciated.

After connecting and registering to the GSM network and getting a valid IPv4 address, I’m unable to ping an address, or the module is able to but I just cannot read the response. See the below log, pinging 1.1.1.1 (known and reliable cloud flare address). It gets an OK response however I don’t receive see any of the +QPING: response information. From reading TCP+AT commands manual I would expect to see at least once response similar to: “+QPING: 0,“1.1.1.1”,32,192,255”

Based on your AT log , you have registered GSM and got IPV4 address successfully .

I can confirm I can successfully connect and communicate to other IP services using AT+QIOPEN, AT+QISEND. However I would prefer to use the QPing functionality instead.

I have tried google and many other providers with no success.

From looking at the release notes on BG96_Firmware_Release_Notes_V0207_01.016.01.016

I can see there it mentions the following “Fixed the bug that remove network after executing the AT+QPING,
there is no URC reported.”

Could this be related or do you have any more ideas ?

We managed to resolve this issue by replacing the BG96 module.
