BG951AGL NB2 support with R02 firmware and eUICC capability

Hello,

I’m planning to integrate the BG951AGLAA-N06-SGNSA module into a new LPWA design and I would like to clarify two technical points regarding firmware capability and eUICC support.

According to the BG95xA-GL Hardware Design document:

  • BG951A-GL with PON_TRIG (R01 firmware) support only Rel-13 LTE Cat-M1 / NB1

  • BG951A-GL without PON_TRIG (R02 firmware) support Rel-13 LTE Cat-M1 / NB1 and Rel-14 LTE Cat-M1 / NB2

Could you please confirm:

  1. For module variant BG951AGLAA-N06-SGNSA, is R02 firmware available for this exact variant?

  2. Regarding eSIM / eUICC capability, does it support embedded eUICC ?

If yes, which specification is supported : SGP.02 M2M, SGP.22, both ?

Or is external eUICC only supported via external SIM interface?

Hi @olab

Yes, BG951A-GL support R02 version but please to note that you CAN NOT upgrade from R01 to R02. it will lead some unexpected issue.
For eSIM, we support SGP.02 M2M eSIM.
