BG95-M5 not booting after QFirehose update A0.206.A0.206

We’ve tried updating our BG95M5LAR02A03 to the latest firmware that we received A0.206.A0.206 using QFirehose on a Debian machine.
QFirehose reports ‘Upgrade module successfully.’ however the module will not boot using the PWRKEY after the update. Both STATUS and VDD_EXT remain low and no USB device is enumerated.
Only by shorting the USB_BOOT pins does the USB device show but it remains unresponsive.
Any idea’s as to what might be the issue?

Issue was due to an old version of QFirehose V1.4.9 being used for the update.
Using the new QFirehose version V1.4.23 for the update fixes the issue.
Sadly the bricked devices can not be recovered even when forcing a USB boot and using the new QFirehose version.
