Hello,
I have a BG95-M3 module with the firmware BG95M3LAR02A03_01.200.01.200
I have sent more than 200 SMS messages to a mobile device in the last few days and everything was fine.
Now I have the problem that the BG95 crashes when I send an SMS. This happens in both modes (PDU and text mode)
When I work in PDU mode, I no longer receive a response from the module after sending the data to the BG95. After that, it is no longer possible to communicate with the module. After a short moment, I receive the SMS on my smartphone, but not just once, I received the sms again and again until I switch off the BG95. I tried to reset the BG95 with AT&F command, but this did not solve the problem.
I also made a test in Text mode, but the result ist the same.
Does anyone have any ideas or tips for me?

Hello, I have gained some new insights. I changed the SIM card (I had a second card from the same provider) and sending SMS worked again without any problems. As a counter-test, I reinserted the first SIM card. The problem immediately reappeared. I suspect that there is a problem with the sending of the SMS when the BG95-M3 sends the SMS to the provider. Maybe there was no proper feedback from the provider, so the BG95 keeps sending the SMS. This situation is a disaster due to the number of SMS that the module sends out.
If there is no “OK” or “ERROR” response to the AT+CMGS command (afer some time) from the BG95-Moldue, it is possible to cancel the sending of the message by an AT-command?

Try sending a single escape character (Char 27 ASCII) to the modem. You will have already sent char 26 as the last part of SMS submission, so I have no idea whether trying to escape subsequently will work.
Thank you very much for your reply. I will try it and report back.
