BC95-G high power consumption during PSM sleep

Hi!

I’m trying to reduce the power consumption of the BC95-G to the stated 5uA in the datasheet, but the best I have got is around 677 - 680 uA. I enabled the PSM URC and I can see that it enters PSM successfully. Any ideas as to why it could be not working?

Here is the output of ATI:
Quectel
BC95-G
Revision:BC95GJBR01A07

After the BC95G registration network is complete, you need to run
AT+CEREG=5
AT+CEREG?

You need to output the AT log

This is the output I get:
`“AT+CEREG=5\r\n”

OK
“AT+CEREG?\r\n”

+CEREG:5,1,EACE,002A0A80,9,00000000,01000001

OK`

The power consumption in the hardware manual only represents the power consumption of the modem, not your PCBA

With the modem turned off, the power consumption of the PCBA is around 35uA. It is possible that I have not set the UART pins connected to the modem correctly, when putting the main MCU to sleep. I’ll look into this.

According to log analysis, BC95G can enter PSM, I suggest you can test the modem separately
