Bad consumption measurement on the LTE EVB kit

Hi,

I followed the instructions regarding the module consumption measurement on the UMTS&LTE EVB R2.0 kit. This is the document Rev. UMTS&LTE_EVB_R2.0_User_Guide_V1.1 where you can find the different steps in part 5.6. Test Current Consumption of the Module.

I have everything set up, and I measure consumption using the Power Profiler Kit II from Nordic. However, the consumption that I can measure is very weird with what can be found in the datasheets of the BG95-M2. I power the module through VBat with a voltage of 3.8V.

Here a first image with no module mounted :

We notice an empty consumption of 3.08 mA.

Here a second image with BG95-M2 in PSM mode :

In PSM mode, consumption is 3.95 mA.

This doesn’t seem normal to me. Where does the problem come from ?

Have you connected the USB port?Have you connected the USB port? If connected, Have you connected the USB port? If connected, please disconnect and test again
What is the power consumption for shutting down? Can you test it
