We have the Quectel EVB kit for 5G-REDCAP-EVB - RG255C-GL
We just want to quick start the development on it.
We have the RG255C SDK and we build it successfully on Ubuntu System.
Now we want to just bring-up the board, we have not inserted the SIM card and not connected the antenna.
Just connected the USB type C power supply and USB to UART to Ubuntu PC,
We power on the device on-off button, then status indicator light up.
We press the PWRKEY for 500ms and then module turned on and its status indicator light up.
But now we not able to see the device through adb, not able to see the any /dev/ttyUSB* for logs on Ubuntu Machine.
So question is to work this on the Ubuntu system do we have any tools or USB driver? and if not we need the Windows machine for so we can use the USB driver and the Qflash?
Also can we not able to flash the image on EVB kit using the adb? if yes could you please provide the steps or documents for the same?
Also can we we take the backup of the existing firmware from the EVB kit, so if it crashes we can re-flash the backup on it? if Yes could you please share the steps how to take backup and restore or the document for the same?
After enabling the modules and adding the device id in below file able to detect the device with lsusb
rohit.jagtap~$ sudo modprobe usbserial
rohit.jagtap~$ sudo modprobe option

Could you please give me the latest firmware for this?
Also can we use the QFirehose for upgrading the firmware?
Because I have uses it and it stuck in Q_SAHARA state:
I have followed below steps:
Put device in EDL(Emergency download mode) using below command:
I am trying to flash the firmware but it fails with the reason as you are using the VA version for flashing instead of VC, but I am flashing the VC version only -
Tried multiple times but the same failure result. and device still in QDL mode if disconnect and connect again. Could you please let us knwo hwo we can come out of this state?
Dear @Rohit_Jagtap
Actually, your firmware is beta and it is open.
Which do you get this version? It is better to contact with your supplier and confirm.
